TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO

We finally arrived in the city. We parked right under Ghiradelli Square. It was so pretty there with flowers everywhere and of course, the smell of chocolate in the air--heaven!

My pirate friend:

The view from our restaurant during lunch.

Of course, there is an In N Out Burger right on Fisherman's wharf!

We decided to take a cruise of the Bay. It was a wonderful experience. You are given a headset which tells you all about the bay, the history, the historical sites, etc. Margo and I really liked it. The fog was so awesome--it would be there, then it would be gone. We cruised past Alcatraz.

The best part of the cruise was driving right under the bridge. We also saw one of the huge tankers that uses this port.

After our cruise, we sat on the beach and watched the crazy swimmers and birds. The beach is posted as being very dangerous with sharks and unsafe currents. But there are quite a few people who swim in the bay every day.

We had dinner at Ghiradelli Square--we each had a $8.95 Hot Fudge Sundae- It was very delicious. For some reason, the waiter left us about a dozen spoons, so one just happened to fall into my purse--my souvenir from Ghiradelli Square!

We drove home on the Golden Gate Bridge. We stopped on the other side and visited the memorial park there. I took this picture of the night traffic. You can walk across the bridge on a path that starts in this park. No Thanks!
